Today is quite a day for Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant. Not only was he given the NBA MVP award, he was also named as the cover athlete for 2K15.
“All I play is 2k,” said Durant. Trust me he’s not lying, I’ve seen it myself at a previous 2K event. Durant was previously on the cover alongside Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose but this is his first solo cover.
It’s a huge honor for the MVP who’s currently averaging 27.4 ppg and 6.9 rpg in the playoffs and 32 ppg and 7.4 rpg during the 2013-14 regular season.
Durant made it clear previously that he’s tired of being #2 to Lebron James and it looks like he’s on his way. With the MVP award, the league’s leading scorer and the 2K15 cover, all that’s left to do now is win the championship. The Clippers dominated game 1 but the series is far from over. Let’s see what happens with this boost of confidence.
