Tech company Analogue Interactive, who is known for their past work for creating their own Neo Geo console and near perfect Neo Geo arcade sticks, has now jumped into a new direction and bringing to the market their latest creation the Analogue NT and the company is currently taking preorders.
The Analogue NT is built from a single block of 6061 aluminum alloy, and the guts is filled with Nintendo’s old school NES console. The company chose the same CPU that was used in the NES and the Japanese version of the NES the Famicom. And according to Analogue, “the Analogue Nt is the only NES on the market that is built with original hardware.”
The NT will be able to play all original NEW games and all Famicom carts, and will be able to take on all NES and Famicom add-ons which means that game genie and zapper can relive its glory days in 2014.
Reliving all that Nintendo goodness does come at a cost, with a price tag of $500, the system is definitely geared to the more hardcore Nintendo gamers looking to put use to those old games collecting dust. And for an extra $50 you will have the chance to pick from four anodized colors of red, blue, black or pink.
