Where would the game be without the women who brought the key players into this world?
It’s that time of year where we take the time out of our busy schedules to celebrate the women who continue to bring life into the world. These special women have made their lives dedicated to nurturing life, keeping a family together and for some maintaining a career all at the same time.
Even in Hip-Hop, there are mothers who put in work to maintain their families and music career, put up with the drama of their children’s music career and more. Jim Jones, Lil Scrappy, and Waka Flocka‘s moms have probably seen and been through more trials and tribulations than the average mother. Women on their grind like Nivea, Kimora Lee Simmons and recently Beyoncé do what they can to maintain their career while being a full-time mom. Dear Mommas, in honor of Mother’s Day, we salute the mothers of Hip-Hop for all they do and more.
