azealiathe drama laden NYC femcee is in hot water for her 2012 collabo with Diplo

From sampling to straight up song stealing, copyright issues has always been at the forefront of legal problems in the music biz. This year, NYC rapper/singer Azealia Banks and L.A. DJ/producer Diplo are being sued for their collaboration in 2012 called “F**k Up The Fun”.

Producer Master D claims that Dip and Banks stole the sound from his song “Mad Drumz” without permission and refuse to give credit to their usage of “Mad Drumz”. Diplo even charged that Master D helped to create the Banks/Diplo collabo “F**k Up The Fun”, which is Master D claims is false.

After several of Master’s close associates noticed the similarities between the two tracks, attempts were made to come to an agreement between all parties, however, it was never reached.

It has been reported that it was not only Banks and Diplo that were included in the lawsuit; Universal Music Group, Amazon.com, DatPiff are also litigants in this case.
