When you make music that’s considered all kinds of weird for its time, you’re bound to have an equally weird story behind it. Lee Scratch Perry is such a musician and The Upsetter: The Life and Music of Lee Scratch Perry tells that fascinating story. Created by Ethan Higbee and Adam Bhala Lough, the documentary takes a look at Perry’s spiritual journey and creation of what became Reggae. And for once we don’t have Morgan Freeman narrating. Instead it is Academy award winning actor Benicio Del Toro. The film has toured the world already and won multiple awards but today Perry released a torrent bundle of goodies for the fanatics. For the small price of your email address, you get the deleted scenes from the film, extra footage of Perry, some photos, posters, and a track produced by Clams Casino that features the legend.

You can find the bundle pack HERE. You can find more information on the film and watch it HERE.

And before you question why we’re telling you about all of this, think about how much of an influence Reggae has had on Hip-Hop. Or don’t and continue to live in ignorance.
