Famed artist and director Takashi Murakami is back, with a brand new film that is both captivating and eccentric. Entitled Jellyfish Eye, the film utilizes both animated characters and real life actors in a unique style, it will definitely keep viewers on the edge of their seats. To celebrate the release of the movie, Murakami teamed up with his frequent collaborator, Pharrell Williams, who helped to remix the theme song “Last Night, Good Night.”
In the video, the famed producer is transformed into an anime character and is seen dancing along to the song, with a major character from the movie. Hatsune Miku, a virtual “idol”, who has amassed a serious fan base in Japan. It is bright and colorful, definitely a signature of Murakami (who is well known for creating Kanye West’s Graduation album cover). Check out the video below.
