“Their quick was quick. I’m talkin’ bout the quickest quick ever seen…”
Good move, Adidas. After acquiring John Wall last year from Reebok, they wasted no time building with the growing star. In addition to assisting his team to the second round, becoming an All-Star for the first time this year, and winning the Slam Dunk competition — all while wearing Adidas — Wall certainly earned his signature shoe with with the three-striped giant.
Thanks to SoleCollector, we have close pictures of not only the silhouette, but also visuals of the shoe on foot. Unlike many of the non-signature basketball shoes, the three stripes seem a bit more discreet. Also, according to the site, unlike other signature shoes, Wall’s features a mesh build, scaled down frame and vertical stripe branding.
Despite being John Wall’s first signature shoe with Adidas, this isn’t his first signature shoe. While with Reebok, he had a few.
Adidas won’t be slacking anytime soon. On the court, Damian Lillard has extended his stay with the brand. Also, despite his injury-plagued season, D. Rose has many more shoes dropping. Off the court, Adidas has officially teamed with Pharrell and Roc Nation’s Rita Ora –to name a few. By the way, no one’s forgotten Yeezi by Kanye West.
