Everyone’s favorite Master Chief is getting a major upgrade in his latest installment. 343 Industries General Manager, Bonnie Ross, confirmed that the new Halo, now dubbed Halo 5: Guardians, title will not hit store shelves into the fall of 2015. However, this game might make some of the biggest leaps in the franchise history.
“Halo 5: Guardians is a bigger effort than Halo 4, that applies to the content and scope of the game, as well as the technology in what’s now a brand new and more powerful engine. Certainly there are some core elements carried over from prior games, but we’ve invested a huge effort in retooling our tech to take full advantage of the Xbox One’s hardware and ecosystem to create worlds and experiences worthy of next-gen.”
Fans of the series might be disappointed with this news, however, 343 did promise that the new Halo Journey will begin in 2014. What does that mean, we aren’t sure at the moment. However we are anticipating big things, especially with CGI trailer they released at last years E3 expo. We will keep you updated as we here more; there is a lot of speculation going on, which means this years E3 might be the site for more detailed announcements. (Via Gamestop)
