Westbrook x DurantThings did not go well for the Oklahoma City Thunder last night as the San Antonio Spurs demolished them 112-77 going up 2-0 in the WCF series.

OKC was shorthanded without their star defender Serge Ibaka who suffered a calf injury and is expected to undergo a one-to-two month recovery.  Things then began to get testy with Thunder All-Stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.  The Spurs were in the midst of a big run to close out the first half when the cameras caught Westbrook pointing to his head with both hands and yelling in Durant’s direction.

Westbrook downplayed the altercation following the game indicating that it was normal teammate behavior.

“I was just getting on Kevin about some stuff and he got on me right back,” Westbrook said. “That’s what teammates do, that’s what leaders do, we get on each other, we come back and we talk about it and then we come out like nothing ever happened.”

Durant took responsibility for the loss and noted his mistakes on defense.

“I messed the game up at the end of the second quarter,” he said. “I got hit on the screen and Danny Green got open for a three, I over-helped, and he got another three, and then Ginobili hit the three. All those plays was on me. It was my fault and I take full responsibility for it. Wish they wouldn’t have happened. I can’t get them back now, but I’ll take that one. As I said, we shouldn’t have been down that much at halftime, but I made three bonehead plays.”

Though the Thunder looks pretty much out of it, they have a chance to even things up as the series heads to Oklahoma City for game three and four.
