Some are built for Hip-Hop. Some are built for trying. Zumo Kollie is of the former family. It is an exclusive family but a prestigious one. As a member, he has a tough responsibility of sharing stories that are personal to him yet universal in nature. Zumo must entertain with metaphors and wordplay that no other artist could string together. Most importantly, he must add to a culture that has survived 40 years.

It’s up to the masses to decide if the Providence emcee can fulfill all of those requirements. I believe he has on his new six track EP. But I’m only one member of the culture. I have a feeling regardless of how you or I feel, he’s going to bob and weave his way to the goal-consistently making real sh*t. If you don’t believe me, watch the first episode of his mini-series below on the importance of boxing to him.
