With the exception of 3 Simple Rules, released on Valentine Day, Las Vegas native, Ne-Yo has been quiet as of late. But, that doesn’t mean that the trailblazing R&B singer and Motown Records artist hasn’t been on his grind. This morning, the Compound Entertainment CEO released the single,“Money Can’t Buy,” featuring Young Jeezy.
In his signature mature-laden lyrics, Ne-Yo sings about a women who is not impressed with his Benjamins, Rolls Royce and other expensive tangibles that come with record deals, as he croons:
She told me she don’t care for the flash
Want affection not cash, girl I ain’t even mad at you
She ride for me, die for me, love me, that’s how she do
I pulled up close and I tell her what’s true
Earlier this year, Ne-Yo spoke with The Source TV and announced that fans can expect an album this summer.
