An OG colorway of the Air Jordan VI is set to make a return this weekend in the form of the “Carmine” colorway, which is seeing its second release. The last time these were released was back in 2008 as the part of the Jordan 17/6 Collezione “Countdown” Pack.
Returning in the original white, carmine and black colorway, the only thing separating this release from the OG and the retro from 2008 is the addition of the icy blue translucent outsole, which has gotten mixed reviews from sneaker heads who want to keep the sneaker true to form by wanting the clear colored sole. This will be the first time the sneaker is being released as its own solo release, which is an added plus if you looking to add these to your sneaker collection.
The release will also celebrate the 23rd anniversary of the sneakers release back in 1991 and the same year Michael Jordan won his first NBA champion with the Chicago Bulls, perfect time for Jordan Brand to release the sneaker during the NBA playoffs and memorial day week another good way to kick off summer with a summer based colorway that incorporates a majority of white and red. This time around they will be no need to buy a Jordan pack to get your hands on pair and better news they will not be released as a limited run but will be a general release in a full family size run.
