Charlie Cox Daredevil
Last November Netflix and Marvel Comics struck a four-series deal which would grant some of the coveted comic book company’s B-List superheroes with their own live-action shows via the online streaming service. Jessica Jones, Daredevil, as well as Luke Cage and Iron Fist (as ‘Heroes For Hire’), are all set to have their own series on Netflix. The four series will eventually culminate into the quartet joining forces as The Defenders in another miniseries, with Daredevil up first and slated to premiere in 2015.

Today Marvel has announced who will play Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer-by-day-vigilante-by-night superhero from Hell’s Kitchen, New York, better known as the Daredevil. British actor Charlie Cox, who’s best known for his roles in Boardwalk Empire and Stardust, will don the all-red jumpsuit as the Man Without Fear for the series’ inaugural 13 episodes.

Ben Affleck, who will man the Batmobile in the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice film, played the titular role in the trainwreck that was the 2003 Daredevil film — so we’re hoping Cox is the right guy for job.
