Rutgers University is offering a summer course titled ”Feminist Perspectives: Politicizing Beyoncé”, in the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies. The course will use Beyoncé’s lyrics, videos and interviews as part of the course material.
“I want my students to become more conscious of pop culture and what they’re consuming every day,” explains the course leader, PhD student Kevin Allred, a lecturer in the school’s Department of Women’s and Gender Studies and a Beyonce fan, of course.
