There are wretched things that go on all over the world, but a woman who would let another woman give birth to her child on a hospital floor and strike her afterward is one of the worst of the worst.

1. She’s in a hospital. Why wouldn’t someone, particularly a female hospital worker, find some way to give her a bed and some comfort?

2. The floor is one of the most bacteria-laden places in a room. A newborn is at its most biologically vulnerable. Who could see this and let it happen?

3. And who in their right ***damned mind would strike a new mother after she’d just given birth?

People like that must have special places reserved for them in the lowest rings of hell.
