There is no doubt about the fact that fans never thought they would see the day, but it happened. G-Unit finally reunited during 50 Cent’s headliner set at last night’s Hot 97 annual Summer Jam – it included Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, and Young Buck (unfortunately, no Game).
The clique surprised everybody after Nas finished his set and, as one could expect, the Summer Jam audience was in an uproar as the four performed some of their classic hits – including Lloyd Banks’ “On Fire.” Fabolous, along with dozens of others, joined the crew on stage for the historic moment. Last night marked 50 Cent’s first time headlining Summer Jam in a decade.
Unfortunately, things weren’t all celebratory. A fight broke out just off stage as G-Unit was performing. Slowbucks, a longtime industry professional, was angered as security refused to let him join G-Unit on stage. Soon thereafter, Slow was beaten and robbed, with his chain finding its way onto 50′s neck mid-performance.
Dog, Slowbucks got snuffed on stage and his chains snatched 5 feet from me. Chain snatched, punched in the face in front of 70k people.

Then 50 proceeded to wear the snatched chains and keep performing without a hickup.

Hot 97′s Ebro Darden acted quickly to talk with Bucks in an attempt to de-escalate the situation, but the damage had already been done; to many, it’s no secret that the two (50 and Slowbucks) have shared quite a bitter relationship in the past, with this (to date) being the peak of the conflict.
Details on the matter are still coming in, so keep it locked here as the story unfolds.
