With a brooding voice like Deniro Farrar’s, the pain is palpable when there are equally somber stories to accompany it. Since signing with Vice/Warner Records, the North Carolina emcee now has the platform to share his past life with the world to let others know that they’re not the only ones living check to check. With highly relatable struggles to the everyday man and woman, Deniro gives six tracks of himself that seem like a form of catharsis. The emotionally heavy production only add to the aura of his Cult Rap subgenre.
Maybe this EP will inspire some of the youth to be tired of running in the streets and focus on a craft. We can only hope.
