Gregory Halili was born and raised in the Phillipines. He emigrated to the United States in 1998 and currently resides in New Jersey. He gains major influence from the jungle like environment of his formative years. He recently collected various mother of pearl shells from his homeland and carved some very intricately detailed human skulls. The fusion of natural and human worlds are simply stunning. In the near future these pieces will be on display at Nancy Hoffman Gallery in New York City. Check out more of this series on his Facebook gallery.
