Richard Sherman, Seahawks, Broncos, NFL, Superbowl

The NFL season is over and Richard Sherman is still making headlines!

Not such a bad thing for the Super Bowl champ, who just an inked a deal with BODYARMOR SuperDrink.

A premium sports drink, Sherman’s partnership with the product adds to a list of big namers  like the Indianapolis Colts’ Andrew Luck, Los Angeles Angels’ Mike Trout, Houston Rockets’ James Harden, Philadelphia Eagles’ LeSean McCoy and New England Patriots’ Rob Gronkowski who choose the product as their drink of choice.

Not only will Sherman be anchoring his defense with speed and smack talk, but now he’ll officially rep the company as an official member of the team. Sherman first discovered the drink before last season and made it a regular part of his training regimen: “My job is all about performing on the field and BODYARMOR helps me do that,” Sherman told The Source.

Sherman, like all other BODYARMOR athletes, will enjoy a unique perk that will allow him to hold equity stake in the company. He joins the Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant who became part of the BODYARMOR team as the number three shareholder a few years back. “I am very selective about the companies I partner with and I wanted to align with a brand that’s as innovative and competitive in its field as I am in mine,” said Sherman.

According to reps, Sherman will appear in an in-store advertising campaign in retail locations in Seattle and Portland. He’ll also take part in a social and digital program launching later this summer.

Packed with electrolytes, vitamins and coconut water, BODYARMOR is available in six different flavors. It’s also low in sodium and high in potassium. BODYARMOR was created by co-founders Lance Collins and Mike Repole, who achieved beverage industry success having each sold companies to The Coca-Cola Company in 2007.
