The San Francisco 49ers have locked up their breakout star quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Talks with Kaepernick and the team were ongoing for about a month before they were put on hold following an incident in a Miami hotel. The investigation isn’t completely over but Kaepernick is expected to be totally cleared of any wrongdoing. The talks resumed and Kaepernick received a large contract that many felt he had coming including 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh. “He deserves that. That’s what he deserves,” Harbaugh said in March. “That’s what the market pays for that job. Nobody attacks it more than he does. Nobody wants to be great like he does.”
For #49ers QB Colin Kaepernick: It’s a 6-year extension worth up to $126M with $60M guaranteed, source says. Under contract through 2020

Now we’ll have to wait and see if the 49ers can get over the hump and capture that Super Bowl championship title.
