Odd Future’s leader and resident outspoken personality, Tyler, The Creator sat down with Larry King to discuss his life and occupation. Never one to hold his tongue, Tyler sounded off on a lot of what he sees wrong with the industry and society, showcasing his keen insight into the world.
One of the more shocking revelations was his displeasure with the rap game as a whole. While this has been a constant point he reiterates, the way Tyler phrased it on this go round was almost disheartening. “I hate rapping,” Tyler continued, “I’m pretty bored with it, it’s not interesting.” It’s unfortunate that he feels like this, but he does plan on pursuing other interests, namely film.
Tyler went on to discuss his Mountain Dew deal and the backlash from his commercials, which he thought was stupid and messed up. He even talked about the poor state of social acceptance and his belief that gay rapper will emerge to the mainstream. Check out the videos below:
