Get lifted
Nevada and New York, Dizzy Wright and Bishop Nehru, respectively, link for the LRG Clothing Summer 14 campaign and today often looked over MCs released the BrILLant Youth EP. Yes, we’re surprised, too. But, wait it gets better, the three track EP has backdrops provided by North Carolina beat-smith, 9th Wonder.
On “Wreckin’ Crew,” Dizzy sets the lyrical tone with introspective raps like, “If you ain’t watch the growth/Then watch how the f*** you portray the vision/I’ma boss because of the thoughts behind my decisions.”
Then on the head-knocking track, “BrILLant Youth,” the Mass Appeal Record signee, Bishop Neuhru assaults the track as he raps: “Is it back to charging mother**** a leg and an arm?/Motherf***** got the right to bear arms/So, I rightfully aim off/When it comes to it, n****, I’m lyrically O-Dog.” And, on “Isolated” the two MCs mull over their come up in life and hip-hop.
For nostalgic hip-hop lovers BrILLiant Youth is a piece of work that should find its way into your collection.
