Happy Anniversary to Sex And The City
Today marks the 16th anniversary of the hit show, Sex and The City, where women all over the world embraced their inner fabulous and living it up with girlfriends in New York. The show starred veterans Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Kim Cattrall as Samatha, Cynthia Nixon as Miranda, and Kristin Davis as Charlotte. The show made it’s debut on HBO. Carrie was the narrator of each episode on the show. Each woman had their own career as they established the independent mind of woman as they rocked designer Betsy Johnson and wearing Manolo Blahnik on their feet. The show became an icon favorite among women at the ages of 18-40 as they tuned in every Sunday as they see what happens next with the ladies.
The show was cancelled after six seasons. But later on it was turned into two hit movies and even spawned a hit tv show entitled The Carrie Diaries based on the main character Carrie before it was turned into Sex & The City. Parker, went on and became successful in her own right as she still continued to act on movies and tv shows like Glee & New Year’s Eve. Cattrall also still continued to act in movies. Davis lend her voice to the children’s show, Miss Spider and Sunny Patch Friends, and Nixon, announced that she is gay but she encouraged those to come out the closet as she still continue to act in movies. The cast hints that there would be a final Sex and The City movie and will forever be a influence for women all over the world.
