Brandy-The Source

Happy 16th Anniversary to Never Say Never

Today marks the 16th anniversary of Brandy‘s hit second album Never Say Never (and no this is not the Justin Beiber version). The album spawned hit singles, “Almost Doesn’t Count”, “Top Of The World” featuring rapper Mase, and of course “The Boy Is Mine” featuring fellow singer Monica which earned her first Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group Vocal. The album was executive produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. She recorded the album while still acting on her hit tv show, Moesha. The concepts of the album were love, life, and heartbreak. This album dominated the late 90′s as Brandy was mega successful in her own right as she continued to act on Moesha, she starred on the horror movie, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer alongside Mekhi Phifer, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Freddie Prince Jr, and she even had her own Barbie custom made just for her. This album was her biggest to date of all time and still continue to be a favorite among the new generation of singers.
