A visibly stockier Dave Chappelle sat across David Letterman, for a rare public television appearance on the Late Show. The two comedians share a past history of comradery , which was clearly evident and made plain for the world to see, when Chappelle grabbed the host’s hand at the end, thanking him for the opportunity. While it was a nice sight to see, the interview was what most fans wanted to see and the two didn’t disappoint.
“The only difference between 10 million dollars and 50 million dollars is an…astounding 40 million dollars,” Chappelle said, when asked if he regrets his decision to leave his highly successful Chappelle Show over a decade ago. He revealed that sometimes he is highly upset that he followed his integrity, mostly when he sees something that he can’t afford or hears about someone’s monetary gains. He joked that Jay Z has more fun on two songs than he has had in eleven years. Also, the reports of him taking a prolonged excursion through Africa were false, as Chappelle only spent two weeks in South Africa.
You can check out the hilarious video down below, and make sure you check out his Live Performances at the Radio City Musical Hall. On June 23rd, he will be performing alongside Nas and a 45 piece orchestra.
