Even though seemingly the entire world this summer, on their massive festival tour, Outkast plans something special for their Georgia family and friends. Taking to twitter, Andre 3000 and Big Boi announced their planned homecoming concert that will touch down on September 27, at Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park.
When talking to Billboard, Big Boi stated his excitement and hinted at some big plans. “It’s only right that we give the hometown what we’ve been giving the rest of the world, Atliens in ATL, homecoming! Festival Killers,” he stated.
Mr. 3000 spoke of his appreciation for his hometown, which definitely influenced his musicianship. ”Coming from Atlanta gave us the freedom to be whatever we ever wanted to be because no one was paying attention. Now that everyone is, we want to say thank you,” he proclaimed.
From the flyer, you can expect to see some special guests in attendance and on stage. It looks like a good time to be in Atlanta; a show that you have to get tickets for. Check out their website, Outkastatlast.com, to get more information.
