Alleged mobster, Francesco Raccosta was beaten and then fed to pigs while he was still alive. Pigs apparently eat the humans and this is one of the best ways to dispose of a human body to hide a murder. This was over a war between two rival factions of the Ndrangheta mafia of Calabria, in the far south of Italy. Note: A pig can eat an average of 3 pounds per day. So if the person was 130lbs it would take about 45 days for the pig to eat.)
The killing was allegedly done by Simone Pope and 24 year old rival gangster. Pepe was caught on the phone via a wire by the police describing and gloating about the killing.
“It was satisfying to hear him scream… Mamma MIA, how he squealed, but I couldn’t give a s—. Someone said a few bits of him remained at the end of it all, but I couldn’t see anything, for me nothing remained at all. I said, wow, how a pig can eat!”
Pepe has been arrested and is suspected of committing at least three other murders. The murders are alleged to be paybacks for the murder mafia boss Domenico Bonarrigo, 45, on March 3 2012.
The horrific crime was revealed while the police were investigating the ‘Ndrangheta syndicate’s business dealings. During the investigation the police were able to seize nearly $100 million in property and assets. The ‘Ndrangheta are alleged to traffic narcotics and pump their illegal money into legitimate business. In February 2014, members of the ‘Ndrangheta were arrested for allegedly attempt to smuggle drugs in shipments of frozen fish and pineapples. The ‘Ndrangheta is known for extreme violence.
