Derrick RoseWhile many reports declare that the Chicago Bulls are the frontrunners to land Carmelo Anthony it doesn’t mean he’s a sure bet to end up on the team.  There are other big names on the market and Bulls’ star Derrick Rose reportedly has his eye on someone else.  While his teammate Joakim Noah has been heavily trying to recruit Anthony since the All-Star game, Rose would rather have Kevin Love on the team.

The Bulls could work out a sign-and-trade for Anthony but according to the New York Daily News, Rose would prefer a deal to bring in Love.

According to sources close to Kevin Love, Rose’s preference is for the Bulls to work out a deal as soon as possible for Minnesota’s All-Star forward because he sees Love as more of a team player than Anthony. Chicago is in the mix with Golden State for Love, with Boston and Denver considered long shots. If it makes any difference to Melo, Rose has no plans to recruit Love, who is free next summer, either. But the Bulls already know whom he’d really prefer to play with in the future.
