Kevin Love Triple DoubleThere was recent report that Derrick Rose preferred to team up with Kevin Love over Carmelo Anthony albeit a suspect source.  Well now we have the Bulls offer, but will it be enough to entice the Timberwolves?

The Golden State Warriors offer was Klay Thompson, David Lee and a future first-round pick for Kevin Love and Kevin Martin.  Talks stalled however after the Warriors front office was split on whether or not they were willing to part with Thompson.  Hall of Fame consultant Jerry West and new head coach Steve Kerr voiced their opposition to parting with both Thompson and a future first-rounder.

There was a possible three-way trade with the Lakers that would send Kevin Love to the Warriors and the Lakers No. 7 2014 draft pick to the Timberwolves but the Lakers wanted Klay Thompson so once again they hit an impasse.

The Boston Celtics also tried to make a move in hopes of teaming up Kevin Love and their star Rajon Rondo but their reported offer of draft picks and players wasn’t good enough for Minnesota’s liking.

Now we have the Bulls offer:

via Chad Ford of ESPN:

The Bulls, who are offering Taj Gibson, Tony Snell plus Nos. 16 and 19, are the latest suitors.

Taj Gibson is a good defensive big man who many feel the Bulls shouldn’t part with and Tony Snell is a good young player.  In addition to the No. 16 and No. 19 draft picks it’s a pretty good offer.  Still that doesn’t mean the Timberwolves will jump on it.  They’re reportedly still holding out hope that they can convince Love to stay and possibly bring players in to join him.  They can wait closer to the February trade deadline but that’s a gamble if he becomes adamant about leaving teams could take advantage and give Minnesota a low ball offer.  They have many things to consider.
