J. Cole‘s amazing year keeps getting better and better. First he outsold Kanye West, a feat many didn’t think he could accomplish. He has two successful singles, had a nationwide tour that was practically sold out in every city it went to. This past weekend, J. Cole performed on the iHeartRadio stage, which is big step for any artist. He also brought out both TLC and Miguel, making an already great performance even better.

After his set, the North Carolina rapper sat down with the Breakfast Club to discuss his year and performance. During their short conversation, Cole revealed that he was nervous before he took the stage because of the diverse crowd. “I had nerves before the show, cause it’s  like, such a new crowd for me. They might know “Work Out”, they might know a little of ‘Power Trip.’ Its 25 minutes, that’s crazy.”

When asked about  how he felt about selling more than Kanye West, Cole kept it humble stating that Yeezus sells out arenas and he is doing stages. If Cole is going to take over the game, arenas would be next and he knows it. He seems excited to get back to work in the studio to get to that level though.
