Happy eighth anniversary to The Devil Wears Prada

Today marks the eighth anniversary of the hit movie The Devil Wears Prada. The movie starred Anne Hathaway as Andrea “Andy” Sachs and legendary actress Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly. The film was based on the book of the same name that reflects the life of Lauren Weisberger, who was the personal assistant to editor in chief of Vogue magazine , Anna Wintour.

The movie was about an aspiring journalist named Andrea “Andy” Sachs, fresh out of Northwestern University, who ends up becoming a Jr. personal assistant to the Queen Bee, oops I mean editor in chief of Runway Magazine, Miranda Priestly. At first Andy didn’t enjoy the experience but ended up with a life learned lesson out of the experience. Since the release of the movie, it has been hailed as one of the greatest chick flicks of all time and it’s been said that  Wintour loved the movie, especially Streep’s performance.
