Solange Knowles has moved on from what she refers to as “that thing,” which we will all remember as that time she had a fight with Jay Z in an elevator at New York City’s Standard Hotel.

Knowles is gracing the cover of the August issue of Lucky, and sort of addresses the now infamous elevator fight. In the issue, Knowles calls the incident simply “that thing.” As somebody closer to the situation stated, Knowles “quickly discussed that thing, and then changed the subject.”

“What’s important is that my family and I are all good,” she said. “What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that.”

Days after the fight, the family released a joint statement reassuring people they have worked through their differences.

“As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident,” the statement at the time read. “But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”

Many people have wondered what sparked the fight, but it seems as though Knowles doesn’t plan on giving up any other information, and rightfully so.
