The Cleveland Cavaliers are in heavy pursuit of LeBron James. Earlier today they completed a three-team trade in order to clear cap space to offer James a max contract. Now they’ve reached out to several of his old Miami Heat teammates in order to further entice him to return to Cleveland.
The Cavaliers have reportedly reached out to Ray Allen, Mike Miller and James Jones. Allen would be difficult to acquire since he’s heavily considering retirement and would have to take less money in order to join the Cavs.
Mike Miller signed with the Heat in 2010 and was one of their deadly three-point shooters. He’s also reportedly one of James’ closest friends in the NBA. Miller is currently a free agent after playing one year with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Jones is also a favorite of James and the Cavaliers would add him as a player that would stretch the floor just like his role with LeBron when the two were teammates with the Miami Heat.

The Cavaliers are clearly doing all they can to bring LeBron back, now we’ll just have to wait and see if it works.
