It’s no secret that Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman dislikes San Franciso 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree. It all came to a head during the NFC Championship when Sherman tipped the ball intended for Crabtree which would have been a game-winning catch. Instead it led to an interception and a Seahawks win, landing them in the Super Bowl which they later won as well against the Denver Broncos.
Following the tip, Sherman taunted Crabtree and did his now infamous post-game rant. Well if you think things have calmed down since then, you’re mistaken.
Sherman reiterated his feelings on American Muscle on the Discovery Channel.
“It’s much more of just I don’t like the dude,” Sherman says on the show, per USA Today. “You know what I’m saying. And I think he’s sorry. So it’s really what it comes down to.”
In the episode Sherman rehashes the moments that led up to his now-famous rant to Erin Andrews.
“It’s just about him, it’s just about Crabtree,” Sherman says.
“It’s not going to be something that goes away,” he says. “I hope to play him every year for the rest of my career and choke him out. There’s not much else I can say about the subject. Nobody will understand it but him and me. That’s all that needs to understand.”
There was another incident prior to the one that occurred during the NFC Championship but neither Crabtree nor Sherman will elaborate on exactly what happened. It must’ve been serious because they won’t let it go. At least we have some good games to look forward to.
