Ok, Well they are five common stages of grief. They include denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. We’re not to sure what stage this young women got stuck in, but her way of coping with her mothers death was a bit out of the ordinary. According to New York Post Chava Stirn, 28, dressed like her mother — wearing the same black outfit and shoes that 61-year-old Susie Rosenthal had on when she died.
Surprisingly neighbors did not complain about a smell. Things became really suspicious when the building’s superintendent attempted to investigate a leak coming from the apartment and Strin refused to open the door. Emergency workers was forced to knock the door down and discovered the woman sitting in a chair looking untidy, surrounded in piles of trash.
Chava had Rosenthal’s bones on a bed of trash bags in the kitchen of their apartment, when it was time for bed she placed chairs in the kitchen to sleep next to the corpse. Sources reported that she may have been living with the remains for two or three years.
“It’s a scene right out of ‘Psycho’ . . . This is one of the weirdest cases I’ve ever seen,” a law-enforcement source said.
Neighbors said she never left her home and they never saw her mom, relatives would sometimes leave food on the door step. They also claimed to hear strange nosies coming from the apartment.
“When I listened, she was screaming . . . [She yelled] ‘I kill myself, I kill myself!’ ” said Malka Lerner, 41.
Chava Stirn was taken to Maimonides Medical Center for a psych evaluation.
