So the worlds first 3D has been fired, what does this mean for the general public? This could cause share panic or it could show how useful 3D printing can be. On Friday Frobes mag published an article on University of Texas law student Cody Wilson, the man that created the worlds first 3D gun. According to the article the only non metal pieces were the firing pin, an everyday nail, and 6 ounces of steel to comply with the Undetectable Firearms Act, the act says you can not conceal a weapon that will not be detected by metal detector.
Now that Cody Wilson has his 3-D gun up and running he wants to bring it to the internet for downloadable use. The Design is only available on the company’s website dubbing the design Liberator. Is the 3-d gun more along the lines of cool technology idea or scary for the general public?
