The NBA’s new phenom now inks a deal with apparel company Adidas

The deal is said to be worth $2 million annually according to multiple reports. Wiggins will also be the first No. 1 pick to sign a shoe contract since his newfound Adidas mate Derrick Rose back in 2008.

Andrew Wiggins recently spoke out about his new partnership:

“Joining the Adidas family is a blessing and an honour and I am extremely excited for what lies ahead,” Wiggins, from Vaughan, Ont., said in a statement. “Our collaboration couldn’t be more organic both personally and professionally and I look forward to moving to the next level with the brand.” Seeing that Andrew Wiggins wore Adidas at Kansas this past season, this partnership is actually a perfect look for the Canadian and an organic cohesion. Andrew Wiggins will also join Dante Exum as the second rookie in this year’s draft to sign with the shoe brand.
