It was all good just a year ago.
Last summer, the Brooklyn Nets completed a blockbuster trade with the Boston Celtics that landed Paul Pierce in the Big Apple.
An unrestricted free agent this offseason, the Nets were not able to resign the 36-year old swingman and Pierce will suit up for the Washington Wizards next season.
Pierce agreed to a two-year deal with the Wizards late Saturday night that is reportedly worth $11 million. The second year of the deal will be a player option. Paul Pierce tweeted: “Obama, J Wall here I come.”
Wizards star point guard John Wall was excited about the move. He tweeted: “Welcome the truth @paulpierce34 to Dc . . . #wizkids !!”
