According to Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, free agent Chris Andersen and the Miami Heat have agreed in principle on a multi-year contract.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed. The Heat have been aggressive today in keeping the team whole following the departure of LeBron James. The team signed Luol Deng to a two-year deal and got a verbal commitment from Mario Chalmers to return to the team.
A defensive cog in the middle, Andersen averaged 6.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 for Miami this season on 64.4 percent shooting from the field.
