With LeBron James returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers he wanted a couple of his teammates to join him. The Cavaliers reached out to Ray Allen, Mike Miller and James Jones. Miller agreed to a two-year deal with the Cavs on Tuesday and now they have secured Jones as well.
via Akron Beacon Journal:
The Cavaliers agreed to a one-year contract with veteran wing James Jones, a league source told the Beacon Journal today.
The deal is worth the league minimum.
Jones is an 11-year veteran who has been with Miami for the last six seasons. Jones played in just 20 regular season games while averaging 11.8 minutes per contest. He knocked down 51.9 percent of his look shots from three-point distance (in 54 attempts).
