Trade will finally send first pick Andrew Wiggins to Minnesota
According to Yahoo sports Adrian Wojnarowski (aka #factsonly) the long speculated and obvious (if you read between the lines) deal to send Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers is done.
To make matters even more interesting the deal apparently comes with an agreement from Love to sign a long term deal after this year (the final under his current contract); this provision was said to be an almost non possibility by some. Woj, who always seems to have the inside scoop on these matters took to twitter earlier today (8/7) and said this
Sources: Cavs have agreement for Kevin Love, including long-term contract commitment. Wiggins, Bennett, pick to Minn. http://t.co/r2KmO5owwY

Per his recently published Yahoo Sports piece Woj claims the deal has been done for weeks but the Cavs and love will stay silent regarding the process until the August 23rd date when rookie Andrew Wiggins can be traded. Apparently the push and final deciding piece for the Timberwolves was that had they not gained Love in a trade this year, their chances to obtain him next year were almost impossible due to salary cap numbers, and thus he would likely end up playing for The Chicago Bulls, the pre season number two team in the Eastern Conference by most experts account.
Love joining with Lebron James makes the Cavaliers a strong favorite to win the NBA title in oddsmakers eyes, but really they’ve been the favorite ever since the James trade due largely to the idea that people had always thought this trade would go through.
What do you think, annoyed that the NBA season just got that much less competitive or excited to see Lebron’s new reign as King of his hometown.
