Led by an intro from Jermaine Dupri, QuESt links up with our favorite Austin singer Melát for “Struggle Rapper,” a 6ix and Wish Lade. The Florida native has been making waves the last three weeks as he moves toward the release of his VMG debut album Searching Sylvan, with other releases since “May 10th, 2012″ including “Automatic” and “Lost Niggas” (all of which are also included below).
“Struggle Rapper” is especially meaningful though, as QuESt doesn’t attack the status quo as one would assume that title infers. He breaks down his own struggle with nearly reaching notoriety and falling flat. The brutal honesty prevalent from open to close is piercing, leaving an impression on a listener and those with their own ambitions. Give this song a spin and share your thoughts.
Searching Sylvan drops September 2nd.
