Face Forward hosts star-studded gala to support domestic violence victims
In hopes of raising over $500,000 to support those physically affected and deformed by domestic violence, Face Forward is hosting a huge fundraising and awareness event next month. Face Forward, founded in 2007, advocates people around the nation identifying victims who have been physically abused and also carry the physical evidence of the abuse. The victims are on their way to recovery, in turn, Face Forward provides complimentary reconstructive surgery to repair internal and external scars. This process aids victims with starting a new life and regaining their once strong and confident selves. The event is described as:
“A Venetian Masquerade aimed at providing victims of domestic violence and abuse with the best possible treatment pro-bono. This high-profile event will feature a silent auction and honorary awards ceremony dedicated to raising funds and awareness for this growing epidemic.”
The gala will take place on Saturday September 13 2014 from 6:30 p.m. to Midnight at the Millennium Baltimore Hotel in Los Angeles and will feature a live performance from singer Estelle. For more info on the gala and other events visit their site here.
