President Obama after beheading: ‘ISIL has no place in 21st century’

Last night, video of the beheading of American photojournalist James Wright Foley released. You can read about that HERE.

Following the release, Caitlin Hayden, spokeswoman for the White House National Security Council, stated, “if genuine, we are appalled by the brutal murder of an innocent American journalist and we express our deepest condolences to his family and friends.”

Once the video saw it’s brief time on Youtube, FBI officials “unofficially” authenticated the it, as per The Wire. Shortly before President Obama addressed the video from Martha’s Vineyard around 12:45 PM EST, Hayden release this statement:

“The U.S. Intelligence Community has analyzed the recently released video showing U.S. citizens James Foley and Steven Sotloff. We have reached the judgment that this video is authentic. We will continue to provide updates as they are available.”
