Tragedy struck back stage at Wiz Khalifa’s show at the Shoreline Amphitheater last night

Several media outlets have confirmed that the man that was gunned down last night during Wiz Khalifa’s ”Under The Influence Of Music Tour” in California has died. Police have identified the victim as a 38-year-old man but have not yet released his name. The suspect is described as a man in his twenties with short hair, between 5’6″ and 5’8″ tall. At the time of the shooting he was said to be wearing a black top, white pants and a red baseball cap. Police have also identified the weapon; a large black pistol.

An eyewitness told TMZ the gunman and the victim were backstage arguing before shots were fired.  It was toward the very end of the show and apparently Wiz was still on stage. Police received multiple calls reporting shots fired at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View. Other agencies also responded around 11:05 p.m. to Shoreline Amphitheater according to police spokesperson Shino Tanaka. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead suffering from 5 gunshot wounds. The shooter is still on the loose. Police say they don’t believe the shooter or the victim had any connection to Wiz. The rapper was scheduled to perform in San Diego Saturday night, but an update on Ticketmaster shows the event as being canceled.
