Nothing short of inspirational, Kobe Bryant’s “Muse” is motivation for athletes and non-athletes alike.
The “Muse” documentary endeavors to show all Kobe fans (and haters) the recovery process and life behind-the-scenes of what could have been a devastating career ending injury. As stated in a news release from SHOWTIME, the Muse is described as “in-depth look into the life, inspirations and challenges facing one of the most successful and complex figures in professional sports”. The film is directed by Gotham Chopra Decoding Deepak, ESPN’s upcoming 30 For 30 film, and The Little Master”.
Black Mamba, as fans lovingly call Kobe, is returning to the NBA this fall from an ACL injury before the 2013 NBA Playoffs.
The documentary is poised to air on Showtime this November.
“We can always just be average or do what’s normal. I’m not in this to do what’s normal,” Kobe reflects in the trailer; ” It’s a decision you’ve got to make if you want to accomplish anything that’s significant and have a serious impact. You’ve got to make those sacrifices. You have to make that choice. I made that choice a long time ago.”
