Just when you thought Kevin Durant would make the switch to Under Amour—THINK AGAIN!
According to league sources, Nike countered Under Armor’s endorsement offer of $265 million by offering him a 10-year $285 million deal.
It is believed that when the dust settles, Durant could reach $300 million in royalties.
Under Armour–which is based in the DMV area, where Durant is originally from–made what was billed as an “unprecedented” offer to Kevin Durant about a month ago when they offered to pay the Oklahoma City Thunder star $265 million over the next decade to be the face of their basketball frontier, of which they’re trying to grab a bigger market share in an effort to compete with Nike, Jordan Brand and Adidas.
