The upcoming weekend may not be a long one according to the calendar, but it can certainly feel like one with this new project. Unsigned Hype alum, KR, returns with the third mixtape in his I$0Lyf3 series. Once you hit play, you might lose track of the time as you get lost in his own world. As his buzz built from his early days on #SYLR, he’s been on tour with Alex Wiley and rounded up an impressive team of producers for this newest offering: Curtiss King, Smoko Ono, JHill, Thomson, and Meech. The overall feel remains mellow and thought provoking for your alone time, but is also slightly more uplifting than the first two I$0Lyf3 mixtapes. A couple tracks feature his singing skills without rapping and you would think another artist took over on vocals, in a good way. As KR’s confidence and creativity grows, the music will surely reflect that.
