This girl just will not go away.

After causing some commotion at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, it was obvious that the SNL producers tapped Miley Cyrus to act as host and musical talent for the season premiere.

During the show, Miley performed her hits “Wrecking Ball“ and an acoustic version of “We Won’t Stop” to showcase her vocal ability. She also got a few laughs during her opening monologue in which she assured the audience no twerking would commence.
