Looks like the NCAA has “slipped” under the radar and given Penn State another chance
Well in other bizarre football news, it has been made official that the NCAA has decided to lift the postseason ban on Penn State from two seasons ago. The NCAA has finally decided to allow the Nittany Lions to participate in the postseason and will also restore scholarship limits.
In a statement released by George Mitchell who is the university’s oversight monitor:
“Due to Penn State University’s significant progress toward ensuring its athletics department functions with integrity, the NCAA Executive Committee today eliminated the school’s postseason ban, effective immediately, and will return the full complement of football scholarships in 2015-16,” a statement from the NCAA claimed.
It will be interesting to see how this lift will effect the program now that the team is off to a 2-0 start. They make their Big Ten debut this weekend in New Jersey against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
Drew predicts Penn State will finish in the middle of the Big Ten this season. Dont agree? @ him at –@Drewtheabstract
